Founded in 1983 by Elwood Norris, Jabra has been operating for close to 38 years specializing in audio equipment. In 2000, Jabra has been acquired by GN Group (which has been producing telecommunication equipment since 1869 that begins as a telegraph company) and restructured into a consumer-based and business-based setup. Jabra has since produced a line of audio equipment from wireless, true wireless, and corded headphones. It has also expanded its production to video conference systems and unified communications solutions. The company has been named Asia Pacific Headset Vendor of the Year by Frost & Sullivan for four years in a row (2013 – 2016) and won the 2011 Red Dot Awards for Best Bluetooth Headset.
